Legal Aid of NC Fund

The North Carolina Bar Association and Foundation have a long history of supporting the important legal services work of Legal Aid of North Carolina. In 2007, the Foundation Board of Directors approved the establishment of the LANC Fund within the Endowment for the specific benefit of Legal Aid of North Carolina. Over the years, with the support from lawyers, law firms and affiliated organizations, the LANC Fund has grown to over $2 million. Each year the NCBF Board of Directors approves a distribution from the LANC Fund in the form of a grant to LANC to support its operating budget.

The LANC Fund provides critical support to LANC’s civil legal services programs and has been used to fund MLK Summer Legal Internships, rural service legal fellowships, the Lawyer on the Line program, and the Eviction Diversion program.

A gift to the LANC Fund helps secure the long-term future of Legal Aid of North Carolina, bridging the access to justice gap and ensuring access to critical legal services for all North Carolinians. The Fund accepts cash gifts, planned gifts, cy pres funds, class action residual funds, and other forms of donation. To donate by check, please mail to: NCBF, 8000 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513 (memo: LANC Fund). To donate by credit card, please click the Donate Now button below.
